My familial name is Bruce Cassidy, and my spiritual name is Nadananda (cosmic music). My guru is Shri Brahamanda Sarasvati (Rammurti S. Mishra M.D.), author of Fundamentals of Yoga. He founded the Yoga Society of New York and Ananda Ashram in Monroe, New York. I met him at a private talk he was giving on Yoga in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1959. At the time, I was attending Berklee College of Music.

Copies of my book Meditation That Works - 5 Easy Steps are available on Amazon.

During my many years of training in Raja Yoga with Dr. Mishra, I explored many other disciplines as well, notably metaphysics, Autosomatic Training (AST), Alexander Technique, encounter therapy, Rebirthing, Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP), Aikido, Tai Chi, Sant Mat, Christian Science, Subud, and Zen Buddhism. My guru encouraged me to teach meditation and play music for healing. I have been exploring both of these avenues while pursuing a career as a professional musician.

I have a BSc in Behavioral Psychology from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and a Master's in Music Composition from York University in Toronto, Canada. I am presently a PhD candidate at the latter institution.
